Ensuring your sales cycle moves to the next stage

Are you a presales professional, ready for your next software product demonstration? The key things to keep in mind.

Use couple of slides to explain the challenges faced by your target audience and subtly let them know the risks of not addressing those challenges.

Explain the scenario / use case, you are going to cover along with the flow of the demo in bullet points.

Emphasize on the minimum required capabilities (features) to address the challenge. Demonstrate, how these minimum required capabilities are unique differentiators of your product besides many other compelling features.

Summarize and emphasize the tagible value. Re-iterate one live example with tangible benefit.

Ask for the next steps, move the sales cycle to the next stage.

Dos and Donts:

Stick to the flow and agenda of the demo, unless the audience ask to see more. Don’t go into information overflow else the audience will get overwhelmed with information.

There is no need to unnecessarily boast about your product, as long as it is able to address the challenge and never downplay competing products available.
